Fund Raising Activity 2011 for Hist 17 Class
>> 07 August 2011
August 2-3, 2011- My Rizal class decided to hold a booth at school in order to raise funds to be used for an Out-Reach Program tentatively scheduled for August 17..
The fund-raising event also doubled as an educational activity since I made them depict through a collage the Life of Jose Rizal as the Greatest Pride of the Malayan Race.
For the booth, I encouraged them to bring in some of their old books and magazines and other goods that they are willing to part and donate for the event.
I also allowed them to sell in the booth some products that they usually sell like cellphone loads and accessories...
Some opted to sell snacks like pancit, sandwiches, puto, fishball, ginata-an, banana-Q and vegetable lumpia..
while some focused on the "palamig" (ei. bukojuice, mangoshake etc..)
We also had some fruits...like santol and guava..
and of course, some pakulo...like the bidding of some footwear ..
and the photo-op with your crushes...
But, of course, the event was successful because of the Accians who helped us raise the fund we need by advocating our goods..
Thus, despite the lack of time to prepare for the fund-raising activity, the Class had been able to pull it through and raise around P3,000 just with the the various "pakulo" they had and their donated used goods and books.
