This Too Shall Pass

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-
If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-
If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away, too-
Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains
That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near. …

Listen in Silence if You Would Hear (Helen S Rice)

Silently the green leaves grow

In silence falls the soft, white snow

Silently the flowers bloom

In silence the sunshine fills a room

Silently bright stars appear

In silence velvet night draws near ....

And silently GOD enters in

To free a troubled heart from sin

For GOD works silently in lives

For nothing spiritual survives

Amid the din of a noisy street

Where raucous crowds with hurried feet

And "blinded eyes" and "deafened ears"

Are never privileged to hear

The message GOD wants to impart

To every troubled, weary heart

For only in a QUIET PLACE

Can a man behold GOD FACE TO FACE!

When Trouble Comes and Things Go Wrong (Helen S. Rice)

Let us go quietly to God when trouble come to us,

Let us never stop to whimper or complain and fret and fuss,

Let us hide"our thorns" in "roses" and our sighs in "golden song"

And "our crosses" in a "crown of smiles" whenever things go wrong

For no one can really help us as our troubles bemoan,

For COMFORT, HELP and INNER PEACE MUST COME FROM GOD ALONE .....

So do not tell your neighbor, your companion or your friend

In the hope that they can help you bring your troubles to an end ...

For they too have their problems, they are burdened just like you,

So TAKE YOUR CROSS TO JESUS and HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH ....

And waste no time in crying on the shoulder of a friend

But go directly to the Lord for on Him you can depend ....

For there's absolutely NOTHING that His mighty hand can't do

And He never is too busy to help and comfort you.

It Takes the Bitter & Sweet to Make a Life Full & Complete ( Helen S Rice)

Life is a mixture
of sunshine and rain,

Laughter and teardrops,
pleasures and pain --

Low tides and high tides,
mountains and plains.

Triumphs, defeats
and losses and gains --

But ALWAYS in ALL WAYS
God's guiding and leading

And He alone knows
the things we're most needing --

And when He sends sorrow
or some dreaded affliction

Be sure that it comes
with God's kind benediction --

If we accept it
as a GIFT OF HIS LOVE

We'll be showered with blessings
from OUR FATHER ABOVE.

A NOte to GOD

God never draws a plan without a promise.
Never puts a path without a pointer,
and never sets a life without a purpose.

Thank you Lord for giving me my wonderful parents and my equally wonderful friends..
Thank you for the gift of wisdom and the gift of abundant love.
Thank you for all the good things you had given me in this life and for all the trials you had let me go through.
They made me better, stronger and humble.

But above all thank you Lord for the greatest gift you had given me-
my life..

For the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory is yours.
Now and Forever.

LITTLE HOUSE

I love this place
But it's haunted without you
My tired heart
Is beating so slow
Our hearts sing less
Than we wanted
We wanted
Our hearts sing 'cause
We do not know
We do not know

To light the night
To help us grow
To help us grow
It is not said
I always know

You can catch me
Don't you run
Don't you run
If you live another day
In this happy little house
The fire's here to stay

To light the night
To help us grow
To help us grow
It is not said
I always know

Please don't make a fuss
It won't go away
The wonder of it all
The wonder that I made
I am here to stay

I am here to stay

Stay

PAPERWEIGHT

Been up all night staring at you
Wondering what's on your mind
I've been this way with so many before
But this feels like the first time
You want the sunrise to go back to bed
I want to make you laugh
Mess up my bed with me
Kick off the covers i'm waiting
Every word you say i think
I should write down
Don't want to forget come daylight
Happy to lay here
Just happy to lbe here
I'm happy to know you
Play me a song
Your newest one
Please leave your taste on my tongue
Paperweight on my back
Cover me like a blanket
Mess up my bed with me
Kick off the covers i'm waiting
Every word you say i think
I should write down
Don't want to forget come daylight
And no need to worry
That's wastin time
And no need to wonder
What's been on my mind
It's you
It's you
It's you
Every word you say i think
I should write down
Don't want to forget come daylight
And i give up
I let you win
You win cause i'm not counting
You made it back
To sleep again
Wonder what you're dreaming

Plain White T's Hey There Delilah Lyrics..

Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Save the Best Till Last Lyrics -Vanessa Williams

Sometimes the snow comes down in June
Sometimes the sun goes 'round the moon
I see the passion in your eyes
Sometimes It's all a big surprise

'cause there was a time when all I did was wish
You'd tell me this was love
It's not the way I hoped or how I planned
But some how it's enough

And now we're standing face to face
Isn't this world a crazy place
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last

All of the night you came to me
When so silly girl have set you free
You wondered how you'd make it through
I wondered what was wrong with you

'cause how could you give your love to someone else
And share your dreams with me
Sometimes the very thing your looking for
Is the one thing you can't see

And now we're standing face to face
Isn't this world a crazy place
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last

Sometimes the very thing you're looking for
Is the one thing you can't see

Sometimes the snow comes down in june
Sometimes the sun goes 'round the moon
Just when I thought our chance had passed
You go and save the best for last

You went and saved the best for last

Growing Old is Part of God's Plan - Helen Steiner Rice

You can't HOLD BACK THE DAWN"
Or "STOP THE TIDES FROM FLOWING" -
Or 'KEEP A ROSE FROM WITHERING"
Or "STILL A WIND THAT IS BLOWING" -
And TIME CANNOT BE HALTED
in its SWIFT and ENDLESS FLIGHT

For AGE is sure to follow YOUTH
and DAY comes after NIGHT ....
For He who sets our span of years
and watches from above
Replaces youth and beauty
with PEACE and TRUTH and LOVE ....

And then our souls are privileged
to see a "HIDDEN TREASURE"
That in our youth escaped our eyes
in OUR PURSUIT OF PLEASURE .....
So BIRTHDAYS are but BLESSINGS
that open up the way
To the EVERLASTING BEAUTY
of GOD'S ETERNAL DAY.

On Wings Of Prayer - Helen Steiner Rice

Just close your eyes and open your heart
And feel your worries and cares depart,

Just yield yourself to the Father above
And let Him hold you secure in His love -

For life on earth grows more involved
With endless problems that can't be solved -

But God only asks us to do our best,
Then He will "take over" and finish the rest -

So, when you are tired, discouraged or blue,
There's always one door that is open for you -

The door is "House of Prayer".

And you'll find God waiting to meet you there,

And "The House of Prayer" is no farther away
Than quiet spot where you kneel and pray -

For the heart is a temple when God is there
As we place ourselves in His loving care,

And He hears every prayer and answers each one
Then we pray in His name "Thy Will Be Done" -

And the burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on "Wings of Prayer".

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.

If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,

for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.

During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,

because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge,

because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.

They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

happy reading..

The flood

One day a massive flood came to a town and the water kept rising. A man climbed to the roof of his house, having great faith that God would save him.
Two rescuers in the boat yelled for him to get in their boat. The man replied “No thanks. God will save me.” The rescuers went on to save others and the water continued to rise.
Later, a helicopter hovered over the man’s house and dropped a ladder to the man. The pilot yelled for him to climb the ladder to safety as the waters kept rising. The man yelled to the pilot “No thanks. God will save me.” The helicopter flew on to save others as the water was quickly rising.
Finally, the flood swept over the man’s house and he was washed away and drowned. As he arrived in heaven, he told God, “I had great faith in You and thought You would spare me from the flood.” God replied, “I sent you a boat and a helicopter. What more could I do?”

LES MISERABLES' ON MY OWN

And now I'm all alone again,
no where to go no one to turn to,
without a hope without a friend without a face to say hello to.
And now the night is near,
And I can make believe he's here.
Sometimes I walk alone at night
When everybody else is sleeping
I think of him and then I'm happy
With the company I'm keeping
The city goes to bed
And I can live inside my head.
On my own
Pretending he's beside me
All alone, I walk with him till morning
Without him I feel his arms around me
And when I lose my way I close my eyes
And he has found me.
In the rain the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me for ever and forever
And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us.
I love him
But when the night is over
He is gone, the river's just a river
Without him the world around me changes
The trees are bare and everywhere
The streets are full of strangers.
I love him
But every day I'm learning
All my life I've only been pretending
Without me his world will go on turning
A world that's full of happiness
That I have never known!
I love him
I love him
I love him
But only on my own...:-(

Someone Else's Story

Long ago,
In someone else's lifetime
Someone with my name
Who looked a lot like me
Came to know
A man and made a promise
He only had to say
And that's where she would be
Lately although the feelings
Run just as deep, the promise she made
Has grown impossible to keep
And yet I wish it wasn't so
Will he miss me if I go?

In a way,
It's someone else's story
I don't see myself
As taking part at all
Yesterday,
A girl that I was fond of
Finally could see
The writing on the wall
Sadly, she realized she'd left him behind
And sadder than that
She knew he wouldn't even mind
And though there's nothing left to say
Would he listen if I stay?

It's all very well to say
You fool it's now or never
I could be choosing
No choices whatsoever.

I could be in someone else's story
In someone else's life
And he could be in mine
I don't see a reason to be lonely
I could take my chances
Further down the line
And if that girl I know
Should ask my advice
Oh I wouldn't hesitate she
Needn't ask me twice
Go now!
I'd tell him that for free
Trouble is, the girl is me
The story is, the girl is me.

When LOve means Everything

I just finished watching Windstruck. I think by far its the best Korean movie i had seen. I cried buckets.. I wish filipinos would produce a movie of this kind.

Kyungjin and Myungwoo's lovestory is beautiful. Yes, sad but beautiful..

Watching the movie made me appreciate more the people around me. The people I love and who loves me back. I dont want to go through what Kyungjin had experienced. (Though losing someone is one of the inevitable things in life.)

Kyungjin indeed proved that the most dangerous person in the world are those who have nothing to lose. She wanted to end her life when Myungwoo died. But Myungwoo wouldn't let her. He always saved her, no matter how crazy and desperate she was to die.

At the 49th day of his death ( the last day for the soul to be on earth), Myungwoo visited Kyungjin as the wind. He told Kyungjin to stop being sad for his death and start her life anew.

He told her further, that he really never left him. That whenever she wud miss him, she just needs to feel and listen to the wind. For it is HIM..

At the last show of pure love,Myungwoo made Kyungjin meet a man with a spirit just like his..
and that's the guy you saw in My Sassy Girl. Since Windstruck is its prequel.

I love the movie on its entirety. The 1st part was funny...the middle was sad, and the last was hopeful.

The kind of love Kyungjin had received from Myungwoo would be the kind of love all of us would die for. Theirs was a love that knows no boundary. A love even after death...

Its a must-watch movie. I was crazy for taking this long (not listening to my friends)to watch this..
This s an A1 movie for all of u who dig good lovestories and Korean movies/telenovelas.

But I guess this is best shared w/ hubbies, BF's and BFF's...:) Watch it. Take it from me, you'll love it as i do...

A Special POem from a Far Away Friend

Taking my life with each day as it comes,
Keeping myself away from the slums.
Where darkness may overcome if the door is ajar,
Preventing my life from reaching a star.
Keeping the Faith strong and praising to HIM,
Loving the Lord, while down on my knees.

Looking to rebuild my bridges so strong,
Low and behold, a new friend comes along.
No effort, no work, the conversation just flowed,
No denying the fact that spirits had glowed.
A glimmer of light shined upon us last night,
When everything seemed just so perfectly right.

I laughed and I laughed like I hadn't in years,
So hard that I had to stop and wipe tears.
Just when I thought I was ahead of the game,
You came back with one more that put me to shame.
The one that gets me most and leaves a small notch,
Was the one about my dog with her nose in d coach!

So I sent you my story, how dare I tell all,
knowing I may never ever again get your call.
But no one can take away the time that we took,
To learn about each other, our souls sorta shook.
We take a step back and kinda wonder how can this be,
That someone comes along so effortlessly.

It is you that I now write about,
An amazing friend I have made and forever tout.
That she was instride with my every move,
Our conversation did nothing but be in the groove,
Of what two people would want for a first impression.
You set the "bar" high as an inspiring sensation!

This was written especially for you Princess and what we shared....no matter what, it was pretty special.
I made this up as I went along....it was easy when I reflected back on you.
I hope you enjoyed reading it, as much as I enjoyed writing it for you!

Sincerely,

Your Good Friend Jim

To Risk is to Live

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach for another is to risk involvement.
To expose your feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To believe is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live.
Chained by their attitudes they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.

i am ME

In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me
Everything that comes out of me is authentically me
Because I alone chose it - I own everything about me
My body, my feelings, my mouth, my voice, all my actions,
Whether they be to others or to myself - I own my fantasies,
My dreams, my hopes, my fears -
I own all my triumphs and
Successes, all my failures and mistakes
Because I own all of Me, I can become intimately acquainted with me -
by so doing I can love me and be friendly with me in all my parts -
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me, and other
Aspects that I do not know - but as long as I am
Friendly and loving to myself, I can courageously
And hopefully look for solutions to the puzzles
And for ways to find out more about me - However I
Look and sound, whatever I say and do, and whatever
I think and feel at a given moment in time is authentically
Me - If later some parts of how I looked, sounded, thought
And felt turn out to be unfitting, I can discard that which is
Unfitting, keep the rest, and invent something new for that
Which I discarded - I can see, hear, feel, think, say, and do
I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be
Productive to make sense and order out of the world of
People and things outside of me - I own me, and
therefore I can engineer me - I am me and

uR personality based on ur fingerprinT..

It is already an accepted fact that every single person in the world has a different set of fingerprints. The Chinese have devised a way to read personality & destiny traits by studying the waves and the circles that appear at the tips of everyone's fingers – indeed so convinced are they that in the old days the fingers of prospective daughters-in-law were carefully scrutinized by prominent families to ensure they did not unwittingly welcome women who had fingers that showed alternate circles and waves on their fingers, as it was commonly believed that such women would bring trouble into the family, being particularly difficult to control and usually very aggressive.

In this issue of FSW we bring you some indications of destiny & personality traits based on the circles and waves on the five fingers of each hand. Guys should examine their left hands while women should look at their right hands.

Here are the two different patterns of circles and waves seen on every finger. To make a reading, look at your thumb print first, then your index finger, your middle finger, your ring finger and then your little finger in that order. This is the sequence that offers clues to your destiny & fortunes of your life.

For ease of reference we shall refer to circles as Os and to waves as Ws.

Shape: OOOOO (all whorls)
Means: This person is very confident, has a strong character and a hot temper. He/she is an independent person. The luck of this person changes dramatically in life from one period to the next. The undoing of this person will be his/her hot temper so it is vital that this person must learn to be patient and calm.

Shape: WWWWW (all waves)
Means: This person is a straightforward honest person who goes with the flow. The fingers indicate someone very sensitive, who is especially suited to design and creative work. People with these fingerprint patterns tend to be shy and uncomfortable in social situations, so are not suited to work in PR, politics or any kind of work requiring them to meet people.

Shape: OWWWO
Means: If you can choose a prestigious working career, you will be very successful. However, you should avoid the tendency to get big-headed and you must never take your career for granted. You should also watch your back, as you tend to attract jealousy into your life and could get betrayed. Always look for long-term benefits.

Shape: OWWOW
Means: You will need to work harder during the early days of your career. When you reach middle and older age, you will get recognition and wealth luck. So your life gets better the older you get.

Shape: OWOWW
Means: It is vital that you resist the tendency to be narrow-minded in your attitudes and in the way you think and work. Try to be humble and learn as much as possible. This is how you will get influential help that brings you to the peak of your business and career life.

Shape: WOOOO
Means: You are a very clear-minded person. As long as you work hard, you are guaranteed to be successful. Even though you tend to be in a hurry, there will be those who help you along. You are also a person with a kind heart.

Shape: OOOOW
Means: Because you are kind and have an in-built polite attitude, you will easily get help from older persons and friends. You will enjoy great success in your working life and your only weakness is you don't trust people too easily. This can make you too conservative.

Shape: OOOWW
Means: You have a tendency to be bad tempered, and rather quick to judge. This is a shallow attitude and could easily get you onto the wrong path. If you can correct this tendency of yours, you will have great success. The potential is in you, so try to be calm in your approach.

Shape: OWWWW
Means: You have good character but can only become really successful in older age. Be prepared to have to work really hard during your younger and middle age periods, but you will become a successful person in older years.

Shape: WOWWW
Means: You are very good in the social skills. No matter what industry you are in, you like to take risk and you will always face uncertainty. Be careful as the later years of your life could bring yet more challenges. Take less risk as you get older.

Shape: WWOWW
Means: You are a person who has high vision and heavy responsibility. Be careful. Your visions could get you into serious difficulty. Better to stay more grounded, then your life will have greater success.

Shape: WWWOW
Means: You are very intelligent and will enjoy a lot of scholastic honors. You will have a smooth life and benefit from wealth luck. If you can work hard, you will become a great and successful person.

Shape: WWWWO
Means: You will inherit a business or property from your parents or from an older person. Even though you are a capable person and can be successful in your own business, your tendency towards impatience could get you into a lot of difficulty.

Shape: OOWWW
Means: You have a tendency to be proud and snobbish, although deep inside you are a kind-hearted person. Your social skills however need improving. Your relatives tend to take advantage of you.

Shape: WOWWO
Means: You are a deep thinking person. At a young age, you are already thinking of your future. You will enjoy a smooth and peaceful life; you will be very happy in your old age.

Shape: WOWOO
Means: You are a very sociable person and you enjoy the carefree kind of life going out, partying and clubbing. When you reach middle and older age, you will rely on people to support you. Be warned, if you do not prepare yourself, you might have a hard time during your older years.

Shape: WOWOW
Means: You are not an easy person to control or to convince, as you are something of a rebel. If you can stay focused on what you want from life, you will be successful. The problem is that you can be fickle and vague in what you really want from life.

Shape: WWOWO
Means: Your whole life is full of ups and downs, successes and failures. However, if you canmove steadily step-by-step, you can enjoy a peaceful life as you grow into maturity.

Shape: WWWOO
Means: You are very kindhearted person and there will be good people in your life, as you will attract these kinds of people towards you. Work hard and you will easily reap your just rewards. You will definitely become successful.

Shape: OWWOO
Means: You will get recognition and become famous. Even though your life appears unstable during your earlier years of working life and you need to work hard in your thirties, when you reach maturity, your life gets better and better.

Shape: WWOOW
Means: You are a very capable person, but you tend to lack good judgment. You also tend to start something and then lose interest. Stay focused if you want to succeed.

Shape: OWOOW
Means: You are a noble person with a good character. You tend to be very helpful towards colleagues and friends so you are a popular person. Because you can think in-depth and have sensitivity towards others, you will enjoy success in the creative fields.

Shape: OWOWO
Means: You are blessed with a fast and formidable intellect. You work very quickly and with great effectiveness. However, your character is very aggressive and people tend to be intimidated by you. If you can correct this trait, you can rise to great heights.

Shape: WWOOO
Means: You are a very straightforward person. But your thinking tends to be rather naïve and shallow. Even though your suggestions are good, if you don't think through what you say, you should not be surprised if people tend to ignore your views. Your speech tends to lack power.

Shape: OOWOW
Means: You are a high-minded person, able to see and grab opportunities. You are best suited to work in the financial and investment fields. Your luck gets better as you grow older.

Shape: OOWWO
Means: You are a very honest and reputable person. You have little urge to get rich or pursue material wealth. But watch it, if you don't know how to take care of yourself, you can easily get conned and taken advantage of by people.

Shape: OOOWO
Means: Your social skills are good, so you attract guidance and help from influential people. Many people help you in your rise to prominence, and your luck turns fabulous in later years.

Shape: OOWOO
Means: You are a very brave and hardworking person. A lot of people trust you when you are young. However, unless you work at preserving your reputation, you could make enemies on your rise up and find that life becomes harder as you get older.

Shape: OWOOO
Means: You are a kindhearted character and easily get along with others. You are not good at doing business, but you are good as a teacher or even as a spiritual master. You can enjoy success in the academic world.

Shape: WOOWW
Means: You are reputable and have a peaceful character. So you are definitely someone who can become successful and recognized. However, because of your tendency towards pride, you could end up offending the wrong people.

Shape: WOOWO
Means: You are a simple but logical person. If you can focus on the fundamentals of life and adopt a step-by-step approach in your climb up the success ladder and not be too impatient, you will benefit from wealth luck and be honored by people.

Shape: WOOOW

Means: You are a straight talking person who is forthright in your approach. You are strong in character, playful but you also easily offend people. But you are also lucky because when you reach middle age, you will rise to a prominent position and your luck really changes for the better

I consider myself as the kind of person who always look at the glass half full instead of half-empty. And eventhough at times, it's difficult to look at life this way, I always try to maintain a positive outlook in life.".

MARGIE MORAN was asked during the 1973 Miss Universe Contest: "What’s the difference between being Miss Universe and being a Filipina?" Her reply: "Being Miss Universe is like having a birthstone, you may lose it. Being a Filipina is like having a birthmark, its forever."

CHARLENE GONZALES was asked during the 1994 Miss Universe Contest: "How many islands are there in the Philippines?" Her reply: "High tide or low tide?"

RUFFA GUTIERREZ at the1993 Miss World Contest: "How would you tell a girl who’s suffering from low self-esteem to feel better about herself? "Her reply: "I’ll tell her to believe in herself because it’s not only physical beauty that’s important but also inner beauty. Like what the Little Prince said, "What is essential is invisible to the naked eye." And I believe that character and personality are more important than physical beauty."

MARIA ISABEL LOPEZ at the Bb. Pilipinas Pageant was asked by one of the judges, Rita Gomez:
RITA: Here’s your question, hija: Are you still a virgin?
MARIA ISABEL: If I say I still am, can I bring home the crown tonight?

"Her reply: "Personally, I think it should not in any way interrupt her duties. She should be allowed to celebrate her femininity."

SUSHMITA SEN (Miss India) at the 1994 Miss Universe Contest: "What’s the essence of being a woman? "Her reply: "Just being a woman is God’s gift. The origin of a child is a mother, a woman. Woman is sharing, she shows a man what sharing, caring, and loving is all about. That is the essence of a woman."

ANNA THERESA LICAROS at the 2007 Bb. Pilipinas Pageant: "Who are you going to choose? The crown or the lover of your life? "Her reply: "That’s a very tough question, I am being put on the spot but if I had to choose, I think I would have to choose the crown. Precisely because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I believe that I would be able to reach out and touch more people to be of greater service, should I achieve the crown and I am very confident that my love life will be there once the crown is no longer on my head and I’ve passed it on, Thank you."

GLORIA DIAZ at 1969 Miss Universe Contest: "If the man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him? "Her reply: "I guess since he has been in the moon so long, he would enjoy anything that an ordinary man would."

Manpreet Brar of India during the  1995 Miss Universe: "If u can do anything to improve the status of women in ur country, what wud u do? Her reply: " I wud give the women in my country the ability and the right to choose...the right to choose their lives and the right to choose what they want to do w/ their lives. And only then, will they be individiduals and not just mothers, daughters and wives but INDIVIDUALS. - Thinking and living individuals.

Use Somebody

I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
Painted faces fill the places I can't reach
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody

Someone like you and all you know and how you speak
Countless lovers under cover of the street
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you

Off in the night while you live it up I'm off to sleep
Waging wars to shake the poet and the beat
I hope it's gonna make you notice
I hope it's gonna make you notice

Someone like me, someone like me
Someone like me, somebody

I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now

Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody

I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see

An Updated Version of Me

I know I can be so awkward at times I can be insecure You can call me naive, you can say I'm a child You can say I'm so immature For me to say that I love you now But you'll see I will prove somehow I can be so much more

Someday there's gonna be An updated version of me And somehow you're gonna see An updated version of me

And there would be no reasons then To tell me that I'm just a friend I'll be a much better person, you'll see An updated version of me

Maybe I should grow a much nicer nose A much prettier set of eyes Maybe I should wear more colorful clothes If it'd help you to realize I've never been this in love before Never wanted to change at all Now I'm willing to try...

Someday there's gonna be An updated version of me And somehow you're gonna see An updated version of me And there would be no reasons then To tell me that I'm just a friend I'll be a much better person, you'll see An updated version of me...

Maybe then you'd realize Or maybe you won't If and when that happens I'd still be the lucky one...

'Coz someday there's gonna be An updated version of me And somehow you're gonna see And updated version of me And someday you would realize You've made awful compromise And you'd wished that you had wath you missed 'Coz you'd miss a much better person An updated version of me You will see...

Growing up... Making Amends.

“A wise girl asks but doesn't believe ; kisses but doesn't fall in love ; & leaves before she gets left”

- Marilyn Monroe

I like to pretend everything's alright :;
because when everyone thinks you're fine :;
sometimes you too,  forget for a while

that you're not.

In our life, we  meet people. Some we never think about. There are some that we wonder if they had given us a thought or two. And then there are the few we wish we never had to think about again.

But we do.

Sometimes, we  have to stop caring; have to turn off all emotions  to protect ourselves from getting hurt...  have to stop caring about those people: sometimes we  have to hide it all -- not letting anyone know how we feel or what we think. We have to put a smile on our face & pretend everything is fine . Even when it’s not...because sometimes that's the only way to save ourselves  from breaking our heart.

But then, that one person comes..A shadow from the past. The other half of the reason you existed. He does not try to dominate but somehow you feel that he complicates your life.

They say knowing is better than wondering ; waking is better than sleeping and  the biggest failure beats the hell out of never trying.

Life afterall, is for having fun. You don't want to waste it.
So you decided to let him in & you trust him & you think maybe, just maybe, everything you’ve ever gone through is worth it cause you found someone on this messed up planet who knows you.

I keep thinking of how much I love talking to you.. How much you make me smile. How much similarity we have.. I think about you off and on, replaying pieces of our conversation; laughing at funny things that you said or did.. I've memorized your face .. I wonder what will happen the next time we are together or whether that would be possible again..

You asked me if I ever hated you.. and i said, i love you much for me to hate you. As in the movie, what i hated most is the way i don't hate you at all.
I cherish every moment i had with you.I suppose I'm a little bit scared. You might not like it that I felt so much attachment to you.

But I love you.

It's a mystery to me as much as it is to you. Sometimes reality is the hardest thing to understand and the thing that takes the longest to realize. But once it hits us, it will always be there...
In this weird twisted way,its when we realize that reality bites.

But I already learned to deal with reality.
Afterall, at the end of the day, we must either focus on what's tearing us apart  or what's holding us together.

And i chose the latter.

So, i won't going to apologize for saying what i feel, that will be like saying

" s o r r y  f o r  b e i n g  r e a l“.

I love you pa..We can't change the kind of story we have. We can't ask the world to simplify the relationship that binds us. But we can always look at life as grown ups.

I wish you well. And i'm giving you my PEACE.

The Bishop of london's Sermon during Prince William & Princess Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge' wedding..

“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” So said St Catherine of Siena whose festival day it is today. Marriage is intended to be a way in which man and woman help each other to become what God meant each one to be, their deepest and truest selves.

Many are full of fear for the future of the prospects of our world but the message of the celebrations in this country and far beyond its shores is the right one – this is a joyful day! It is good that people in every continent are able to share in these celebrations because this is, as every wedding day should be, a day of hope.

In a sense every wedding is a royal wedding with the bride and the groom as king and queen of creation, making a new life together so that life can flow through them into the future.

William and Catherine, you have chosen to be married in the sight of a generous God who so loved the world that he gave himself to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

And in the Spirit of this generous God, husband and wife are to give themselves to each another.

A spiritual life grows as love finds its centre beyond ourselves. Faithful and committed relationships offer a door into the mystery of spiritual life in which we discover this; the more we give of self, the richer we become in soul; the more we go beyond ourselves in love, the more we become our true selves and our spiritual beauty is more fully revealed. In marriage we are seeking to bring one another into fuller life.

It is of course very hard to wean ourselves away from self-centredness. And people can dream of doing such a thing but the hope should be fulfilled it is necessary a solemn decision that, whatever the difficulties, we are committed to the way of generous love.

You have both made your decision today – “I will” – and by making this new relationship, you have aligned yourselves with what we believe is the way in which life is spiritually evolving, and which will lead to a creative future for the human race.

We stand looking forward to a century which is full of promise and full of peril. Human beings are confronting the question of how to use wisely a power that has been given to us through the discoveries of the last century. We shall not be converted to the promise of the future by more knowledge, but rather by an increase of loving wisdom and reverence, for life, for the earth and for one another.

Marriage should transform, as husband and wife make one another their work of art. It is possible to transform as long as we do not harbour ambitions to reform our partner. There must be no coercion if the Spirit is to flow; each must give the other space and freedom. Chaucer, the London poet, sums it up in a pithy phrase:

“Whan maistrie [mastery] comth, the God of Love anon,

Beteth his wynges, and farewell, he is gon.”

As the reality of God has faded from so many lives in the West, there has been a corresponding inflation of expectations that personal relations alone will supply meaning and happiness in life. This is to load our partner with too great a burden. We are all incomplete: we all need the love which is secure, rather than oppressive, we need mutual forgiveness, to thrive.

As we move towards our partner in love, following the example of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit is quickened within us and can increasingly fill our lives with light. This leads to a family life which offers the best conditions in which the next generation can practise and exchange those gifts which can overcome fear and division and incubate the coming world of the Spirit, whose fruits are love and joy and peace.

I pray that all of us present and the many millions watching this ceremony and sharing in your joy today, will do everything in our power to support and uphold you in your new life. And I pray that God will bless you in the way of life that you have chosen, that way which is expressed in the prayer that you have composed together in preparation for this day:

God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage.

In the busyness of each day keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy.

Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer. We ask this in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Amen.

A Beautiful Heart

The more hurt and pain you have gone thru in life, the stronger and more
beautiful your heart will be.....
One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley.
A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.
Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine." The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces missing.
The people stared. How can he say his heart is more beautiful?? they thought. The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be joking," he said. "Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."
"Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges - giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"
The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands.
The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his.
They embraced and walked away side by side.
